Pre-viewing cleaning also differs from end-of-tenancy or move-out cleaning. Move-out cleaning is carried out when a property is being vacated and is generally more extensive, while pre-viewing cleaning is specifically intended to prepare the home for presentation to potential buyers.
What is included in pre-viewing cleaning?
Pre-viewing cleaning covers the most important rooms and surfaces in the home. The exact scope can be adapted to your needs, but the following tasks are normally included.
Kitchen
In the kitchen, we clean:
- worktops and other surfaces
- cabinet doors and handles
- sink and taps
- clear surfaces by dusting
- floors by vacuuming and damp mopping
Bathroom
The bathroom is thoroughly cleaned, including:
- toilet, washbasin and shower or bathtub
- mirrors and tiles
- limescale on taps, shower screens and similar surfaces
- grout between tiles
- floor drain
- floors and other surfaces
Bedrooms and living room
In bedrooms and living areas, the service includes:
- dusting furniture and surfaces
- vacuuming and damp mopping floors

What is not included in pre-viewing cleaning?
Certain tasks are not normally included in the standard service. These include window cleaning, deep cleaning of ovens, refrigerators and other appliances, cleaning balconies or patios, cleaning storage spaces, cleaning the insides of cupboards and wardrobes, and removing bulky waste. Moving furniture is also not included as standard. If furniture needs to be moved in order to access specific areas, this can be agreed with us in advance. We recommend scheduling the cleaning as close to the viewing as possible, preferably the day before or on the same day. This ensures that the property is freshly cleaned when potential buyers arrive. To help secure availability, we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance. We can often assist at shorter notice as well, depending on availability. How to prepare your home for pre-viewing cleaning
Preparing the property before we arrive allows us to carry out the cleaning as efficiently and thoroughly as possible. Before the cleaning, we recommend that you:
- put away clothes, toys and other loose items from surfaces and floors
- remove dishes and personal hygiene items from kitchen and bathroom surfaces
- make sure we have access to all rooms and areas to be cleaned
- move furniture beforehand if you would like us to clean behind or underneath it
- let us know about any areas requiring extra attention
If storage areas, balconies or patios are also to be cleaned, these areas must be accessible.
How much does pre-viewing cleaning cost?
The price of pre-viewing cleaning is calculated individually based on the property and the scope of the cleaning. We therefore provide a quote based on the specific requirements of your assignment. Factors that may affect the price include:

- the condition of the property
- selected additional services
- specific requests or areas requiring extra attention
The quote clearly states the scope of the cleaning and the price both with and without the Swedish RUT tax deduction.
RUT tax deduction for pre-viewing cleaning
As a private individual in Sweden, you can use the RUT tax deduction for pre-viewing cleaning. The deduction allows you to reduce the labour cost by 50 percent, subject to the applicable RUT rules. We handle the administration for you and the deduction is applied directly to the invoice. When we provide a quote, we show the price both with and without the RUT deduction.
